Photo retouching
Digital photo retouching is the set of procedures aimed at improving the appearance or readability of the image with computer software. This is a technique often complex, requiring a certain artistic sensibility and knowledge which is usually acquired through years of experience.
The starting image denotes some skin imperfections.
With the first revision we have eliminated the most evident imperfections.
The second editing has affected the tone and the porosity of the skin.
The final editing has scaled the lower lip, changed the hue of the eyes and the hair has been colored red.
Photomontage
A photomontage instead is a technique that allows you to combine or remove details from an image.

Digital restoration, similarly to photo editing, is a technique that is intended to cleaning and to restore, as far as possible without altering the original too much, of an image degraded by time or by wear.
